Job Description
WHAT THIS JOB ENTAILS:
The Engineering Configuration II will participate in the process of ensuring software is effectively released to our clients. The role is responsible for maintaining databases for clients and for internal development teams while automating manual processes to improve our ability to release software, resulting in minimal downtime.
SCOPE:
Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues
Works on problems of limited scope
Receives detailed instructions
YOUR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Participate in management of product lifecycle as it relates to BOM/GPN changes
Aid in BOM rule changes
Help in managing CCB bugs
Participate in development of standards, policy and procedures
Work with functional stakeholders to define and document process flows, policies, data creation/flow/change management, and related business rules.
Propose process improvements
Investigate asset management issues
Support development and maintenance of key business metrics
Coordinate cross-functional decisions impacting shared data, tools or processes.
Triage and resolve process and data issues for the internal organization or partners
Assist with developing and executing root cause remediation strategies for data issue

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 2 to 5 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Builds stable working relationships internally
Follows standard practice and procedures when analyzing situations or data
Understanding of one or more of the following fields: Code/Scripting, Mfg/Product Eng, PDM/Product Lifecycle Management
Familiarity with the technical side of sustaining management processes
Understanding of hardware products (servers, networking, storage)
Willingness to suggest/propose process improvement
Excellent communication and project management skills.
Effective computer application skills and excellent attention to detail
Quick learner with creative problem-solving and analytical skills.

Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
