WHAT THIS JOB ENTAILS:
The Inventory Analyst I is responsible for ensuring the timely and correct delivery of data center resources to client sites across the world. The Inventory Analyst will play an integral role in ensuring that our services continue to run and scale along with our customers’ needs. Along with significant execution responsibilities, the Analyst will also participate in process sustainability and improvement initiatives, thus playing a key role in Fulfillment Optimizations evolution.
SCOPE:
Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues
Works on problems of limited scope
Receives detailed instructions
YOUR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist in machine rack and slot inventory management
Engage in deployment plan analysis and execution of established workflows
Involved in project tracking
Assist with machine inventory management
Responsible for auditing per location inventory and identifying excess inventory
Help to determine inventory repurposing and removal path & schedule decommissioning
Manage machine reassignments
Manage reduction and cancellation of supply orders in response to changes in demand
Coordinate with internal teams to schedule removal of TCO negative inventory and delivery of replacement capacity
Route and respond to tickets
Manage machine drains in advance of decommissioning
Monitor transient supply deficits
Create and assist in managing deployment plans
Perform “cluster health” audits and remediations
Monitor customer order delivery performance
Mitigate fulfillment interrupts / failures

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:
Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 0 to 2 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Builds stable working relationships internally
Follows standard practice and procedures when analyzing situations or data
Basic knowledge of materials and components of machine racks or in-flight racks
Knowledge of inventory and order management
Ability to assess current inventory and reassign as needed for infeasible orders
Strong organization skills and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing work environment.
Excellent documentation, writing, organization and verbal communication skills.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
PHYSICAL DEMAND & WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing
Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment
Must be able to use a computer
Must have the ability to communicate effectively
Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
