    Job Description

    Are you ready to start your career in product lifecycle management?  Astreya is currently hiring an entry level PRODUCT LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT ANALYST to support the hardware for future prototype handheld smart devices.

    THE PRODUCT LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT (PLM) ANALYST, will support engineers and program managers a wide variety of products including hardware for consumers.

    THE PRODUCT LIFECYLE MANAGEMENT (PLM) ANALYST is a recent Mechanical Engineering graduate that has the passion for innovation and engineering, as well as possess the organizational skills and adaptability to usher projects through the configuration management and product lifecycle phases.

    THIS ROLE WILL BE CLIENT ONSITE ON OR AFTER 7/1/22 IN MOUNTAIN VIEW OFFICE LOCATION BASED ON CLIENT REQUIREMENTS.

    SCOPE: 

    • Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
    • Works on problems of limited scope.
    • Receives detailed instructions.

    YOUR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Help to collaborate on projects for consumer hardware products.
    • Administer new part number (PN) set-up for parts and components.
    • Assist with executing and tracking completion of engineering change orders. (ECO), manufacturing change orders (MCO), deviations, and all other configuration management activities.
    • Coordinate the implementation of internal subsystem bill of materials (BOM) and top-level assemblies (TLA).
    • Help to provide structural assistance and management for the creation of on-the-shelf (OTS), custom part numbers, including BOM.
    • Assist with managing and driving product lifecycle management (PLM) readiness under entrance and exit requirements for all build phases and product lifecycle while working within all internal universal part number (UPN) document control standards.
    • Research product change impact to ensure that all products affected are identified and any issues resolved prior to the documents being finalized within product documentation management application.
    • Help to interface and communicate project status with engineering, other cross-functional departments and 3rd parties.
    • Work with logistics teams to properly classify parts and assemblies for import and export shipments.
    • Assist with managing information and applicable supporting documents including, manufacturing part numbers (MPN) specifications, restriction of hazardous substances (RoHS) certificates, and other applicable attributes for stakeholders from approved manufacturer list (AML), and approved vendor List (AVL).
    • Other duties as required. This list is not meant to be a comprehensive inventory of all responsibilities assigned to this position.

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) in Mechanical Engineering or related scientific discipline from four-college or university and 0 to 2 years’ related experience and/or training.  
    • Builds stable working relationships internally.
    • Follows standard practice and procedures when analyzing situations or data.
    • Understanding of manufacturing, supply chain operations, or engineering.
    • Excellent documentation, writing, organization and verbal communication skills.
    • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing development projects.
    • Ability to effectively communicate with non-technical team members and customers.
    • Basic knowledge of materials and components in a production environment.
    • Must have great attention to detail as well as the ability to work independently.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 

    • Understanding of eCAD or mCAD components. 
    • Knowledge of creating part numbers, configuration management, and bill of materials.

    PHYSICAL DEMAND & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing.
    • Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment.
    • Must be able to use a computer.
    • Must have the ability to communicate effectively. 
    • Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
