    Job Description

    Astreya is looking for a Network Engineer to deploy and configure network equipment, cabling and racks. You will work onsite with teammates in a dynamic, growing organization. In addition to network infrastructure deployments, you will also support our customer's team that enables scalable, reliable and agile network delivery through the use of workflow automation, process engineering and tooling. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Deploy WiFi network solutions in offices.
    • Turn up network hardware in offices.
    • Engineer and implement office pre-build work in support of regional build rooms.
    • Update all documentation pertaining to office deployments, upgrades and decommissions.
    • Update all monitoring tools pertaining to office deployments, upgrades and decommissions.
    • Provide ongoing technical support and problem resolution for office deployments, upgrades, decommissions and general office network problems.
    • Coordinate with the infrastructure team in all aspects of network equipment installation, power, cooling and cabling.
    • Support various teams in developing network projects close out procedures
    • Coordinate with relevant teams in all aspects related to equipment installation, service testing and problem resolution. 
    • Coordinate with logistics the configuration of the hardware equipment in the in the regional build rooms.
    • Provide corporate office network deployment and implementation.
    • Attend weekly project manager meetings and provide update.
    • Provide weekly progress updates to the project manager and the team lead Improve documentation and implementation process.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    SKILLS REQUIRED:

    • Excellent organizational, interpersonal, time management, written and oral communication skills.
    • Hands on experience on Juniper routers/switches/firewall, Cisco L2/L3 switches and Aruba wireless. 
    • Excellent analytical, problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
    • Basic Layer 2 protocol knowledge.
    • Basic routing protocol knowledge (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP).
    • Ability to diagnose basic technical problems and find the root cause.
    • 1-3 years experience in Network Engineering and Deployments for large-scale networks in a corporate environment.
    • Knowledge of programming (Ruby, Python, Bash, etc) or automation systems like Ansible, Tail -F, Chef, Puppet.
    • Knowledge of ipv4/ipv6 protocols, ARP handling, ACLs and QoS.
    • Some experience with WAN Technology (MPLS, VPN, SDWAN and DMVPN).
    • Firewall knowledge.
    • Solid understanding and knowledge of 802.11 wireless technologies and standards
    • Implementation and operational experience with wireless LAN controllers and wireless access points
    • Experience with RF Design, RF Survey/Engineering and RF troubleshooting

    SKILLS PREFERRED:

    • Cisco or Juniper certifications preferred.
    • Basic systems and Linux skills are preferred.

    EXPERIENCE LEVEL: 3+ years Network experience EDUCATION: Preferred Certifications: CWNA and/or CCNA-Wireless certs
