    Job Description

    WHAT THIS JOB ENTAILS: 

    The Technical Trainer III is responsible for creating and delivering high-value education content through a variety of delivery venues. Someone in this role will be seen as a subject matter expert and will excel in transferring knowledge to Astreya’s customers, partners, and internal stakeholders.

    SCOPE: 

    • Resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways

    • Seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of their specialty

    • Works on problems of a diverse scope

    • Receives little instruction on day to day work, general instruction on new assignments

    • Knowledge of Inventory Management, Asset Security, and Process Development

    • Comfortable delivering content to staff at all levels within the organization

    • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise

    • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

    • Experience working with virtual classroom training tools

    YOUR ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Deliver classroom and virtual training to a variety of technical audiences of various experience levels

    • Provide support for course development efforts, including product research, providing subject matter expertise, and training content review

    • Create, update and maintain teaching material and lab exercises, both from student evaluations and from other sources of feedback

    • Prepare updates for curricula, syllabi, and other collateral

    • Deliver certification courses, advanced workshops and webinars to business partners and customers

    • Create real world, relevant training scenarios based on knowledge and experience absorbed over time

    • Adjust, customize and deliver training based on the audience level of expertise

    • Development of corporate-class training material meant for delivery, as well as on-going updates of existing training material and supplementary technical documentation

    • Plan and manage advanced training sessions

    • Implement technical training courses, facilitating visits, and performing lab demonstrations that provide a competitive edge for technical audiences. This will include the delivery of standard and customized training based on field needs and the delivery of new product and technology training in support of field readiness

    • Create, test, and review new and existing courseware

    • Produce and deliver a training plan and updating as necessary

    • Provide buildout, system administration, and technical upkeep of the training systems

    • Provide and instruct realistic training scenarios and objectives

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:

    • Bachelor’s degree (B.S/B.A) from four-college or university and 5 to 8 years’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience 

    • Networks with senior internal and external personnel in own area of expertise

    • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions

    • Experience working with virtual classroom training tools 

    • Ability to quickly grasp highly technical concepts and clearly communicate these technical concepts in live presentations

    PHYSICAL DEMAND & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

    • Must have the ability to perform office-related tasks which may include prolonged sitting or standing

    • Must have the ability to move from place to place within an office environment

    • Must be able to use a computer

    • Must have the ability to communicate effectively 

    • Some positions may require occasional repetitive motion or movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers
