    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY/DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  

    WEEKLY/BI-WEEKLY/MONTHLY RECURRING DUTIES

    ·       Work in conjunction with Regional Manager to set site specific and technicians targets and objectives.

    ·       Coordinate meetings with Regional Manager/SME Managers to discuss project impediments, needed resources or issues/delays in completing tasks/projects.

    o   (Weekly/Bi-Weekly/Monthly as needed)

    ·       Updates Program Manager/SME Managers on team and individual work accomplishments, problems, progress in mastering tasks and work processes, and individual and team training needs.

    ·       Obtain/Verify weekly updates from site POC’s with respect to their area of responsibility - documented and synced in 1:1.

    ·       Prepare reports and maintain records of work accomplishments and administrative information for Program Manager.

    ·       Intercede with the site POC to inform the stakeholders of performance management issues/problems and to recommend/request related actions.

     

    RESOURCE MANAGEMENT

    ·       Work with Regional Managers/Program Managers to obtain necessary resources to support the team's requirements.

     

    RECRUITING (IN CONJUNCTION WITH SPOC)

    ·       Conducting interviews.

    ·       Completing prospective employee reviews.

    ·       Oversee Onboarding coordination.

     

    PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT

    ·       Conducting performance reviews.

    o   Reviews (supposed to be biannual, but have traditionally been annual).

    ·       Evaluating and documenting job performance.

    ·       Mentoring senior EMT’s.

    ·       Issuing of employee performance objectives/improvement plans.

    o   Determining outcomes for poor performance.

    o   Counseling for Substandard Performance.

    o   Instigate the process for terminating employment in cases of non compliance.

    ·       Promoting corporate incentive plans.

    ·       Intercede with HR regarding Employee’s Promotions/compensation increases / benefits package changes.

     

    CENTRAL ORDERING

    ·       Manage regional ordering team.

    ·       Address escalations (eg. Assets and accessories shortages/overs).

     

     TRAINING

    ·       Onboarding/orientation of new EMTs.

    ·       Manage the training program/team (trainer, assessors, mentors) and sign off on duties as learned.

    ·       Evaluate EMTs and recommend retraining to the training as needed.

    ·       Observe training needs and relay needs and requests to Training Team and Corporate office.

     

    SCOPE OF WORK COMPLIANCE

    ·       Ensure work completed at each site falls within the EMT responsibilities/task list.

    ·       Assure that all team members have the required education and training to effectively participate on their assigned project.

     

    TRAVEL

    ·       Visit each site twice per year to perform complete site audit. (By RM and/or trusted partner).

    ·       Document site and track progress (before/after photos).

    ·       Follow up on past visits

     

    COMMUNICATION/CHANGE/CONTENT MANAGEMENT – EG: MINDMAP

     

    FLOW OF INFORMATION TO TEAM

    ·       Making full use of team / site mailing lists.

    ·       Follow up with monthly core duties.

    ·       Follow up with on going projects.

    ·       Follow up with process changes.

    ·       Weekly announcements stakeholders.

    ·       Familiarize the team with the customer’s needs, requirements, processes, procedural standards, policies, unwritten rules unique to the business culture, techniques and tools to support task performance.

     

    FLOW OF INFORMATION DURING MEETINGS

    ·       Weekly Regional POC meeting - management (RM/POC) to EMTs.

    ·       living support doc that is instrumental in keeping the EMTs on task.

    ·       RM/POC specific weekly team meetings as/when required.

    ·       Collaborate and discuss metrics, projects and core duties.

    ·       EMT Global Projects Meeting  (RM’s/SME Managers only) specific weekly meetings - focusing on projects and operational support.

    ·       Discuss any personnel issues, current performance issues, future plans.

    ·       Regular sync ups with the FT stakeholders for supported sites.

    o   Stakeholders on the right are met with regularly.

    o   Stakeholders on the left met with as needed.

    o   World Wide TL Meeting for GPM/PM/RMs.

    WORKS TO BE COMPLETED BY SITE POINT OF CONTACT

     

    TIMECARDS

    ·       Weekly Timecard approvals followed up with an email confirming any anomalies/problems or simply that all Timecards have been submitted.

     

    PTO/SICK LEAVE

    ·       Initial Approver of PTO/Sick Leave to ensure that all local works are completed.

     

    HR ESCALATIONS

    ·       Initial POC for RM. Provides documentary evidence(where applicable) for any/all HR related escalations from EMT/EMT+  employees.

     

    TEAM/PROJECT MANAGEMENT

    ·       Keep the team focused and on track - facilitate and motivate!

    ·       Development and prioritization of objectives and key results.

    ·       Ensure deliverables are prepared to satisfy the project requirements and schedule.

    ·       Ensure EMT Support Portal Local Site Pages are current and up to date.

    ·       special PM approved out of scope tasks/projects.

    o   eg. expansions, office moves, new buildings.

     

    TECHNICIAN TASK DOCUMENTATION/WORK-LOGS

    ·       Maintain consistent methods and practices across team.

    ·       Utilization of proper ticket parameters, completeness of ticket log, proper escalation.

    ·       Ticket/Task Audits.

     

    RECRUITING (IN CONJUNCTION WITH RM)

    ·       Conducting interviews.

    ·       Completing prospective employee reviews.

    ·       Onboarding coordination.

    EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION:  

    ·       4-7 years experience managing a group of technicians.

    ·       Experience in similar IT/inventory related fields.
