Time frame : Summer 2024 (Flexible on start – intent is for this to be an ~12-week internship)

We are currently seeking an individual to join our team for Hazard Detection and LiDAR perception software development and integration projects.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and integrate algorithms to support GM1 (Griffin Mission 1), flight testing, and other opportunities.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience working with sensor data and algorithms
• Currently enrolled as an advanced undergraduate, Masters, or PhD student in Computer Science, Engineering, Robotics, Mathematics, Physics, or a related quantitative and software-focused field.
• Proficiency in C++ programming.
• Strong academic background with coursework in algorithms and data structures, computer vision, linear algebra, and optimization.
• Familiarity with Kalman filters, SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping), and state estimation techniques is advantageous.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• Previous experience working with sensor data and implementing algorithms is preferred.

• Space experience is not mandatory but is a plus.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and the candidates professional experience. Base salary is just one component of Astrobotic’s competitive total rewards strategy.
