The company’s suite of lunar landers delivers payloads to the Moon for companies, governments, universities, non-profits, and individuals. The company is also developing advanced space robotics capabilities such as terrain relative navigation, mobile robotics for lunar surface operations, and reliable computing systems for mission-critical applications. Originally spun out of Carnegie Mellon University in 2007, Astrobotic is pioneering affordable planetary access that promises to spark a new era of exploration, science, tourism, resource utilization, and mining. Astrobotic’s headquarters is in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with a second location in Mojave, California.

    Astrobotic Technology wants you to help lead the development and deployment of software integration and test infrastructure needed in the Landers & Spacecrafts department. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving Astrobotic’s existing software integration and testing infrastructure using DevOps practices.

    ** Job Responsibilities:**

    • Develop and maintain software integration and test infrastructure, including build systems, continuous integration (CI), and continuous deployment (CD) pipelines
    • Collaborate with software developers and test engineers to streamline the software release process
    • Implement and improve automation tools and frameworks for testing and deploying software products
    • Build, deploy, and maintain virtual environments and services
    • Improve the infrastructure and tools needed for software development to meet the needs of multiple disciplinary software groups
    • Provide relevant feedback in the planning of software development, deployment, and testing within the department
    • Monitor and analyze system metrics to identify areas for improvement and proactively address potential issues

    ** Required Skills & Qualifications:**

    • B.S Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field, with 2+ years of relevant experience
    • Strong experience in DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, configuration management, and infrastructure design
    • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and experience with automation frameworks
    • Knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) and container orchestration
    • Solid understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaboration platforms (e.g., GitLab, Jira).

    ** Desired Skills & Qualifications:**

    • Familiarity with embedded systems development, including cross-compilation and target deployment
    • Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools for embedded software testing
    • Working with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools in GitLab

    Salary Range: $90,000 - $120,000

    The base salary range represents the low and high end of the anticipated salary range for this position. The actual base salary offered for this position will depend on numerous factors including individual performance, business objectives, and the candidates professional experience. Base salary is just one component of Astrobotic’s competitive total rewards strategy.
