Atec is a Aerospace Manufacturing Company located in Stafford, Texas. We are looking for a Mechanical Inspector to add to our Space department. 

DUTIES

Interpret oral and written instructions, specifications, engineering drawings or inspection instructions to determine quality and reliability standards.

Select products for inspection at specified stages in production process and inspect products for variety of qualities such as dimensions, performance, and mechanical or chemical characteristics.

Record inspection data use statistical quality control techniques when required.

Complete AS9102 FAI reports as needed.

Interpret GD&T on drawings and apply as required.

Determine methodology and set up of measuring equipment / fixtures to properly measure dimensions, angles, profiles, and configuration attributes.

Evaluate data and write report to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.

Enter data into computer for analysis and write related reports/documents according to quality procedures.

Use mechanical and electronic measuring and test equipment.

Proficiently use precision measuring instruments including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, CMM, height gauge, pins, counter sink gauges, and other instruments as required.

Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor. 

Work with management and/or engineering staff as needed to clarify quality and reliability standards / requirements.

Record and communicate discrepancies found with product and documentation to appropriate personnel.

Preferred

Experience in the Aerospace Industry inspecting space flight parts
