    Field Service Representative (FSR)

    Atec has a long history and active relationships with all of the jet engine OEMs of the western world. Vital Link adds to our test cell construction, noise suppression and field service capabilities. Atec's recent contract to provide ADAQ 4.0 for engine control and data acquisition for a major European Commercial engine MRO further demonstrates our growth. Atec can design, build, or modify your test cell, and assist you in getting the approved OEM specific input and equipment required. We can coordinate all parties to assure cost savings, quality, schedule and maintenance.

    SUMMARY

    Performs and manages repair, calibration, and modification of test, measurement, and diagnostic equipment, including precision measurement equipment laboratory (PMEL) standards and automatic test equipment.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    Other duties may be assigned.

    ·     Calibrates and certifies technical data specifications ensuring traceability to Reference Standards.

    ·        Records and reports maintenance data; prepares technical order improvement reports, special training requests, training quality reports, and modification proposals.

    ·        Tracks equipment warranties. Provides training and manages technical order distributions.

    ·        Plans, organizes, and coordinates mission support requirements.

    ·        Handles, labels, and disposes of hazardous materials and waste according to environmental standards.

    ·        Revise schedule according to work order specifications, established priorities, and availability or capability of employees, parts, material, machines, and equipment.

    ·        Expedite manufactured assembled items, and purchased parts when schedule indicates.

    ·        Record action items in meetings and follow-up to insure action items are completed.

    ·        Maintain inventory of materials and parts needed to complete production.

    ·        Expedite materials in support of efficiency of Field Services activities.

    ·        Follows prescribed procedures

    ·        May identify procedural problems and recommend solutions

    ·        Prioritize inspection of purchased items to Quality Assurance.

    ·        Review material shortage reports and expedite.

    ·        Notify Planners and/or Production Control Manager, when material deliveries will cause delays in production scheduling.

    ·        Receive and process Engineering Change Notices, Structural Change Notices and Discrepant Material Reports, and take necessary action to complete job.

    ·        Follow Safety Policies and Procedures.

    • Travel to Atec Inc. subsidiaries and or project sites may be required.

     

    Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

    AS9100/ISO Specific Duties

    Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.

    Understand required AS9100/ISO specific Procedures and Work Instructions.

    Complete all work routers and understand the quality requirements for each task.

    Participate in Atec Improvement Machine (AIM) as appropriate.

    Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.

    Cooperate with Auditors.

    Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

    EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

    Knowledge is mandatory of: electrical, mechanical, physics, optics, and thermal principles; mathematics, and number systems; operating principles, use, care, and repair; analysis and interpretation of technical data, including block, schematic, wiring, and logic diagrams; troubleshooting techniques; metrology program, calibration traceability, software, and computer operations principles; use of hand tools; procedures for training, supply, maintenance data collection, command certification, equipment scheduling, production, and materiel control; facility requirements; and support equipment management.

    Military experienced in PMEL is highly Preferred
