    SUMMARY

    Coordinate bid process including reviewing drawings, specifications, proposals, and other documentation; prepare Excel worksheet, generating proposed selling price and formal quotation.

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

    Other duties may be assigned.

     

    ·      Track bids in process by manufacturing; communicate problems, delays and questions to Contract Administrator.

     

    ·         Review Request For Quote (RFQ), Bid Decision Form, Bid Tracking Report, and other relevant information to determine customer requirement and job history.

     

    ·         Generate pricing and proposals for customers which may include: Generate Bill of Materials (BOM), itemize manufactured, assembled and purchased items lists. 

     

    • Gathering historical information from various sources and reviewing data.

    • Consultation with various departments and vendors to generate estimates for hours and dollars. 

    • Create Excel worksheet with proposed selling price for Management approval. 

    • Generate reports and queries to assist in evaluating historical contracts for current bid requirements.

    • Create BOM from customer supplied information. 

    • Generate formal quotation and complete Bid Job Plan Summary on Atec Job Plan.

    • Participate in customer audit of bid data.

    • Prepare reports and letters; and administrative duties.

    • Generate quarterly Board of Directors Marketing Report:

    • Pull and review raw data from bid database.

    • Reformat data into concise presentation.

    • Update other report sections which may not reside in databases:  Significant Bids in Evaluation and Significant Bids in Process.  Keep these current weekly through discussions with all marketing, business development and contract administration personnel.

    • Assist with preparation of other report sections such as marketing activity/trips/visitors, teaming efforts, revenue forecast and recent awards.

    • Lead proposal writing efforts for Significant Complex Opportunities:

    • This may include preparation of pricing, technical, past performance and experience volumes required for large government proposals.

    • Develop proposal schedule to ensure all items required for submittal are completed and delivered by the customer's due data and in the correct format.

    • Conduct meetings as required to coordinate other department participation and assign input to ensure all required sections are completed.

    • Generate all proposal sections and review with management.

    • Travel to Atec Inc. subsidiaries and or project sites may be required

    • Ensure activities are conducted in accordance with Atec International Standards Organization (AS9100/ISO) policies and correct and report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

     

     

     

    AS9100/ISO SPECIFIC DUTIES: 

     

    Be familiar with and understand Atec Quality Policy and company objectives.

    Understand required AS9100/ISO specific procedures and work instructions.

    Complete all work routers and understand the quality requirements for each task.

    Participate in Atec Improvement machine (AIM) as appropriate.

    Participate in AS9100/ISO training as required.

    Cooperate with Auditors.

    Report any deviations to appropriate area manager/supervisor.

     

    EDUCATION:

     

    1-2 years of technical or vocational school; 5 years CNC programming experience; or combination of education and experience.

     

    *Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.

    *Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

    *Must have advanced knowledge of fundamental of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS

    Employee is regularly required to sit, stand; walk; use hands to handle equipment; reach with hands and arms; climb, balance, stoop, kneel; must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

    WORK ENVIRONMENT

    Employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts; and occasionally to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions. 

    Noise volume varies depending on where employee is performing the job.

     Extended work hours may occasionally be required.
