Would you like to join a practice where your knowledge and experience will be honored? A practice where you can set your own schedule, either bringing your own clients or allowing the company to build on your client base? Do you seek independence, but don’t want to mess with overhead or billing insurance?

Athena Counseling, LLC, in Rio Rancho, New Mexico is seeking Masters/Doctorate, highest level (independent) New Mexico licensed providers to join my team -  LPCC, LCSW, LMFT. At this time, the position is for telehealth exclusively, with the potential to move back into an office setting in the future (or I’m open to someone who seeks to solely provide telehealth). We would like providers who are available to see clients weekdays between 3:00pm - 8:00pm, and/or weekends. In order to make it cost effective for both parties, contractor will need to be available to see a minimum of 10 clients per week.

Your pay will be above market, and will be commensurate with your experience. Your pay rate is a percentage of insurance companies' reimbursement rates. I want providers who want to stay with me, so will offer a contract that works for both of us.

This position is for a 1099 Contractor; you will be required to pay your own federal, state, self employment and state gross receipts taxes, along with carrying your own malpractice insurance. You will supply your own internet access, laptop/computer, and will be given access to a HIPAA-compliant platform to conduct your telehealth sessions, as well as access to a user friendly electronic health record platform and calendar.

Ideally, you will already be credentialed with some of the insurance companies; if not, no worries. I’m happy to get you credentialed. This process can take between 60-90 days.

The ideal candidate will be confident in their clinical/diagnostic skills; approach all clients with unconditional positive regard; and will have done their own work with a therapist to keep their own mental health as a priority.

By offering telehealth, we can serve all of New Mexico. The office is located in Rio Rancho, NM, a suburb of Albuquerque.
