    Our busy legal firm is looking for an efficient, organized legal assistant to help our attorneys and paralegals assist our clients and ensure we’re operating efficiently. You’ll assist with the preparation of legal documents, and handle all office correspondence including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings and travel, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines. Responsibilities: Help with creating a variety of litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents when necessary Perform legal research, as needed, with help from attorneys and paralegals Make travel arrangements, schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, and coordinate with outside vendors for events Handle office correspondence and administrative tasks such as responding to emails and phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, and letting the team know about upcoming deadlines Be willing to take on any other necessary administrative tasks to help the firm run smoothly • Intake and Onboarding New Client Files • Opening Claims • Managing Medical Requests • Support Legal Admin • Help Legal Admin with projects on an as-needed basis Qualifications: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times Organizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this position Candidates should be able to type at least 50 words per minute Associate’s degree, or some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is necessary At least 1-2 years of previous experience in a law firm setting performing administrative tasks • 2+ years experience in the same or similar role – Legal Assistant in Personal Injury • Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field is a plus • Prior work experience in the professional services fields (law, insurance, medicine, etc.) • Prior experience with a personal injury matter • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management software (Needles is a plus) • Exceptional communication and people skills, both written and verbal • Demonstrated “Clients First” approach to customer service • Self-starter spirit who can show ownership and commitment to the job • Professional demeanor with an outgoing personality • Excellent time management skills, and is consistently punctual Compensation: $32,000 - $36,000 yearly
