    Job Description

    JOB SUMMARY: The responsibility of the Field Service Manager (FSM) is to oversee, and execute, the services and documentation for medical devices. The FSM will manage and perform preventive maintenance and corrective maintenance of medical devices while complying with the policies and procedures of the company and customer/client. The services and technicians within this manager's line of site are Biomedical Equipment Technicians (BMETS), Anesthesia Technicians, and Imaging Technicians.

    Candidates should be a multi-tooled master of medical device planned and corrective maintenance. Someone capable of managing teams, creating successful outcomes for work orders, personnel, and Atlantic Biomedical. A CBET or CHTM certificate holder is a plus.

    TEAMMATES: The FSM will partner with other Field Service Managers, the Operations Manager, Program Manager and Project Management personnel for the oversight of all field service technicians and office personnel across all service lines. It will be their responsibility to collaborate with these business units to play an integral role in the overall success of the organization.

    MANAGEMENT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Provide outstanding customer service by ensuring a timely and positive delivery of services. This includes managing and addressing customer concerns, repeat visits, and depots.
    • Act as a secondary contact for escalated customer matters pertaining to field service outcomes.
    • Act as a supervisor for all field service technicians across all service lines.
    • Manage and monitor the workflow of Atlantic Biomedical through collaboration with leadership and field technicians.
    • Work to create policies/procedures and ensure they are followed to maintain a positive brand image and successful service outcomes. Suggest and implement improvements to correct deficiencies in our processes.
    • Motivate, coordinate, and manage direct and indirect reports.
    • Resolve employee matters as needed and request support where appropriate.
    • Present regular cadence reports to exhibit key performance indicators.
    • Perform management and oversight for depot repairs and loaner equipment.
    • Provide support and oversight for physical inventory; shop, vehicles, ERP/Asset Management Software.
    • Conduct all Annual Reviews for all downstream employee reports

    FIELD SERVICE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform operational verification tests, electrical safety checks and install medical devices and/or related devices in facilities.
    • Perform corrective maintenance, incoming inspections and performance verification of medical devices and systems.
    • Perform scheduled inspections of the preventative maintenance variety by inspecting, maintaining, and completing electrical safety testing of medical devices to ensure code compliance and patient safety.
    • Capable of performing acceptance testing for all new medical devices. Establish correct and safe operation of all new devices and ensure that the device meets all manufacturer specifications prior to acceptance. Ensures that the scheduling and completion of all warranty work is accomplished.
    • Provide technical support on all new and replaced medical devices under the department's responsibility.
    • Continue to advance technical skills by continuing education on medical devices, job-safety, and healthcare policy.
    • Safety test medical devices and the health care facility’s structural environment to ensure patient and staff safety from electrical or mechanical hazards.
    • Consult with medical or research staff to ascertain that equipment functions properly and safely.
