    Job Description

    GENERAL DESCRIPTION Responsible for maintaining and enhancing the organization’s Human Resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. Administers payroll functions and performs accounting related tasks in coordination with the Controller.

    HUMAN RESOURCE & PAYROLL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES • Enhances the company’s human resources by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. • Executes bi-weekly payroll transmissions and associated payroll functions. Coordinate with Controller necessary/required pay disbursement of payroll, including garnishments, benefits and taxes consistent with federal and state wage and hour laws. • Maintains the work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions. • Supports the company’s staff by establishing a recruiting, testing, and interview program; counseling managers on candidate selection; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; and recommending changes. • Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and training programs focused on departments and their appropriate functions. • Manage employee compensation plans by conducting periodic pay research/surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations, analyze pay structures by monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions and recommend, plan, and implement pay structure revisions to top executives. • Ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees. Schedule management conferences with employees, hearing and resolving employee grievances and counseling employee and supervisors. • Manage and oversee the Company’s Safety Plan and Program. • Implement employee benefits programs and inform employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends. Recommend benefit programs to management directing the processing of enrollment periods, and designing and conducting educational benefit programs. • Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements, conducting investigations, maintaining records, and represent the organization at hearings. • Enforce management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending hum resource policies and procedures. • Retains historical human resource records by designing a filing and retrieval system and keeping past and current records. • Cultivate professional and technical knowledge by webinars, workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks. • Completes human resource operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results. • Manages human resources company human capital by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. • Advances associates jobs results by counseling and discipline employees, and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results. Mentoring is a priority. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing projects, assignments, functions, and tasks as assigned. • Update, manage, and maintain the company’s Injury Illness Prevention Plan and maintain compliance with OSHA regulations with up to date policies and ongoing training of the workforce. • Organize monthly safety meetings • Ensure reporting of accidents/incidents and their investigation through training and follow-ups. • Manage the Workmen’s Comp insurance policy, cases and maintain records of accidents. • Manage, follow, maintain, and problem-solve compliance and company planning with Covid-19 Virus and/or any Public Health Orders. • Be that Instrument in the company culture that reflects all elements in the best of team play and work cohesiveness. “All for One and One for All”. HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS: • Must be positive and engaging • Bi-lingual Spanish preferred • Strong customer service and communication skills • Extremely organized and detailed oriented • Ability to manage and lead staff to excellent performance. • Lawful hiring and termination • Workmen’s comp insurance administration • Minimum 5 years of prior payroll administration. ADP experience a plus • 5 years of Benefit Administration • Performance Management • Compensation and Wage Structure • Employee classification • Proficient with MS Office • Supporting diversity • Employment Law • Laws against sexual harassment.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS • BA in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent experience required • 5+ years of experience in progressively responsible human resource roles • 3+ additional years of experience in an HR Management role with one organization • 4 years prior experience of payroll administration with a company of more than 50 employees
