Job Description

Atlas Healthcare is currently seeking a Cash Posting Rep to join our team at our brand headquarters! As part of our Revenue Cycle Team, you will ensure that Atlas receives accurate and timely reimbursement for services we provide.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Process payments, adjustments, claims, correspondence, refunds, denials, financial/charity applications and/or payment plans in an accurate and timely manner.

· Reconcile, balance and pursue account balances and payments, working with payor remits, facility contracts, payor customer service, provider representatives, spreadsheets and Atlas’ collection and self-pay policies to ensure maximum reimbursement.

· Research payments, denials and accounts to determine short/over payments, contract discrepancies, incorrect financial classes or errors. Make appeals and corrections as necessary.

· Respond to incoming calls and make outgoing calls as required to resolve billing, payment and accounting issues.

· Provides excellent customer service and assistance to patients, patient families, providers and other internal/external customers.

· Works as member of Rev Cycle Team to reduce Accounts Receivable balances and achieve team goals in days/$ of outstanding accounts.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Requires knowledge of patient financial services, collecting services and insurance industry processes normally acquired over one to two years of work experience.

· Requires expert knowledge of office software including word processing, spreadsheet and database management.

· Strong interpersonal, communication and customer service skills including the ability to effectively interact with a wide range of audiences.

· Cash collections experience strongly preferred.

· High school diploma/GED
