    Job Description

    Atlas MedStaff is recognized as one of the fastest growing travel medical professional staffing agencies in the United States. We place medical professionals, of various specialties, in contract assignments within client healthcare facilities across all 50 states. To support our growth, we are looking to add motivated and hard-working Compliance Specialist to our team.

    The Compliance Specialist has a key role in our placement process as they are responsible for credentialing new and established health care providers - which includes the data collection, data entry and document review and verification. This is a Full-Time opportunity that will be an office based position in a non-COVID world. However, in a COVID environment, this opportunity will be a mix of work from home and work from office - that schedule will be worked out between the team member and their supervisor.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

    Serves as liaison between Atlas Med staff internal and external employees, facilities and VMS.

    Responsible for pre-employment drug testing and health requirements in accordance with regulations and company policy.

    Maintains database for all employee credentials.

    Immediately reports to the appropriate persons i.e. Director of Compliance and HR any test results needing special attention i.e positive drug screens, so that each such instance is handled legally & appropriately with the applicant.

    Conducts post-offer, pre-employment background screenings in a timely manner, promptly reporting to the appropriate persons any background data needing special attention and handling.

    Ensures copies of proper licenses and other required documents are present in employee's files prior to employee starting.

    Completes compilation of new hire hard-copy files or uploads to appropriate systems; audits for accuracy and completeness.

    Notifies employee of pending expiration of credentials.

    Once credentials have expired, compliance deems them non-compliant and removes them from the schedule until compliant.

    Ensures that all required documentation is complete in all employee files and completes audits as needed per facility, Atlas and JACHO standards

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR POSITION:

    • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as Excel and other office procedures and terminology.
    • Outstanding organizational ability with great attention to detail
    • Excellent organizational/time management skills.
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate concepts and activities accurately and effectively.
    • Ability to make decisions and solve problems.
    • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
    • Ability to work with and/or without close supervision.
    • Ability to resolve conflicts, negotiates effectively, and reach compromise.
    • Ability to maintain courteous, professional, and effective working relationships with customers/vendors and employees at all levels of the company.
    • Ability to proficiently operate a computer, telephone, copier, calculator and other office equipment.
    • Ability to adhere to all organizational policies and procedures.
