Job Description
We are seeking an experienced specialist responsible for writing media communications, planning and coordinating events, and establishing relationships with the media, bloggers, influencers and local community. The ideal candidate will be a creative communicator, possessing a solid understanding of paid, earned and shared media with inquisitive reporting skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Write press releases and other media communications.
- Pitch media and generate coverage.
- Establish and maintain relationships with media, bloggers, community, employee, and public interest groups.
- Prepare and edit reports for internal and external audiences.
- Work across departments collaboratively to identify trends and group interests; provide advice on business decisions.
- Guide executives and stakeholders in effective communication with the public and employees.
- Respond timely to media, executives and stakeholders’ inquiries.
- Assist in planning and coordinating the development of company programs and events, including press conferences, company functions, etc.
- Plan and coordinate travel for media, executives and other stakeholders.
- Travel abroad occasionally.
- Handle additional tasks as needed.
