    About the Job:

    • Pay Range: $39.25 - $46.87 per hour, based on your experience
    • Tuition reimbursement available
    • Health benefits eligibility begins after 14 days
    • Training schedule until November 20th: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM to 4:00PM
    • Available shifts after training period:
      • A2: Saturday - Monday, 6:00PM to 6:00AM with $2.50 shift differential
      • B2: Tuesday - Friday, 4:00PM to 2:00AM

    Your Role:

    As an Engineering & Facilities Maintenance Technician 2 (MT2), you will assist in the maintenance, repair, and installation of automated material handling equipment. Your main goal will be to ensure that the equipment is available and operational for the successful operation of the supply chain facility. You will work with a team of service technicians to troubleshoot and solve equipment breakdowns, as well as collaborate with other maintenance technicians and engineers. You may also assist in training other maintenance technicians to enhance their skills and job knowledge.

    Your Responsibilities:

    • Maintain and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical aspects of Material Handling Equipment (MHE), such as conveyor systems, sortation, robotics, or Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS)
    • Perform maintenance and troubleshooting on motors, sensors, relays, and other equipment
    • Assist with basic electronics/Programmable Logic Controls troubleshooting
    • Conduct maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial robots
    • Utilize handheld devices and management systems to create and close work orders
    • Develop positive relationships across all levels of the organization
    • Follow safety procedures and ensure a safe work environment
    • Operate Target-owned vehicles for maintenance activities

    Physical Demands:

    • Bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching
    • Lifting and moving totes up to 49 pounds each
    • Walking frequently within and around the site
    • Climbing ladders and working at heights
    • Manual dexterity and coordination
    • Working in various conditions, including small spaces, dust, hot/cold temperatures, and wet or uneven surfaces

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Valid driver's license (or ability to obtain one)
    • PC competency and ability to use mobile apps
    • Experience in work order management, preventive/predictive maintenance, blueprint and schematic reading, electrical principles, metal fabrication and welding, and industrial controls and electronics

    Desired:

    • Vocational school or college degree in Mechanical or Electrical field
    • 2+ years apprenticeship or equivalent experience in Mechanical or Electrical field
    • Experience with automated conveyor systems, Material Handling Equipment (MHE) safety standards, and robotic operation/maintenance

    EXPERIENCE

    • 1-3 years of related experience.
    • Electro-mechanical experience.

    CERTIFICATIONS & LICENSURES

    • Powered Industrial Truck Certification

    KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

    • Proficient in performing production equipment preventive maintenance.
    • Able to diagnose equipment faults and malfunctions.
    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations/requirements.
    • Able to identify and perform Level A,B & C equipment preventive maintenance.
    • Able to read and understand schematics/blueprints.
    • Must demonstrate good time management skills. Plans and organizes daily work flow.
    • Ability to retain knowledge of procedures and processes and understand complex instructions and multi-step procedures.
    • Willingness to attend training classes to learn or enhance skills.
    • Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
    • Ability to organize work, people, and materials.
    • Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine reports.
    • Ability to calculate area, circumference, volume, etc.
    • Service-oriented personality.
    • Ability to work a schedule with call-in and overtime duties.
    • Ability to speak and communicate effectively utilizing the English language preferred.
    • Intermediate written and verbal communication skills.
    • Intermediate math skills.

    EQUIPMENT/SOFTWARE UTILIZED

    • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and internet software.
    • Ideal candidate will have experience with Inventory Software, Manufacturing Software and Order Processing Systems.

    COMMUNICATION AND CONTACTS

    • Informs leaders and other technicians of pertinent information and communicates to
    Plant personnel, leadership, and other departments, as necessary.
    • Communicates with equipment operators to determine problems with equipment before
    breakdown and to determine if equipment adjustments or repairs are necessary.
    • Communicates with outside vendors and various suppliers, service, and maintenance
    providers.

    DECISION MAKING

    Often must make decisions in conjunction with department supervisors to shut down equipment, schedule repairs, request for service.

    Additional Information

    Hourly Pay Rate: $25.00 + 1.25 shift differential.

    The ultimate compensation offered for the position will depend upon several factors such as skill level, cost of living, experience, and responsibilities.
