Responsibilities: • Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action • Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients and completing tasks • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings • Conduct research and draft pleadings, briefs, and motions • Oversee paralegals, law clerks, and administrative staff • Strong familiarity with federal and state rules of procedure • Possess excellent writing skills, and be comfortable taking depositions • Briefing and arguing dispositive and discovery motions, and preparing for and conducting examinations at trial Qualifications: • Able to work independently while handling multiple files • Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a law firm environment • Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must • Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required Compensation: $130,000 - $150,000 yearly
