    Job Description:

    Brennan Burtker is seeking to hire lateral attorneys with 2-5 years of experience for Associate Attorney positions. We will also consider a lateral junior partner to service our top client accounts. We are looking for enthusiastic and proactive attorneys who want to be trial attorneys and who will grow professionally with the firm as it continues to expand. The position requires experience in all stages of litigation. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants to be part of a growing, dynamic law firm serving the industry’s top healthcare clients and an ever-expanding clientele.

    Salary starts at $115,000 to $175,000, depending on experience level, and excellent fringe benefits include 100% health care and disability coverage for individual employees, 3% of salary deposited into 401(k), and potential for rapid advancement for superior performance.

    Qualifications:

    Illinois law license required for lateral hires.

    Knowledge of Local Rules, Rules of Civil Procedure, and other applicable codes and regulations

    Exceptional legal research, writing, and analytical skills

    Experience with medical malpractice litigation a plus

    Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and persuasively

    Must be self-motivated and able to meet deadlines under pressure

    Excellent organizational abilities, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously

    Ability to work independently as well as within a team

    An interest in developing business and expanding our current practice.

    Responsibilities:

    Taking and defending depositions

    Conducting written discovery and research

    Drafting pleadings and motions

    Participating in trial preparation and second chair trial experience is preferred

    Representing clients in court

    Legal and factual analysis, as well as negotiation and advocacy

    Some travel may be required
