Litigation Associate –San Francisco

A California law firm is seeking a full-time Litigation Associate with 2–6 years of complex general litigation experience for its San Francisco office. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated, complex litigation matters and collaborate closely with experienced litigators and trial lawyers.

Responsibilities

• The associate will handle matters through all phases of litigation, including pleadings, discovery, depositions, law and motion practice, mediation, hearings, trial preparation, and post-trial proceedings. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery; conducting legal research; arguing dispositive and non-dispositive motions; participating in depositions; appearing at hearings, mediations, and arbitrations; and assisting with trial preparation.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a J.D. from an accredited law school, active California State Bar membership in good standing, and 2–6 years of complex general litigation experience. Strong legal research, writing, analytical, oral advocacy, interpersonal, and communication skills are required. Candidates should have experience with dispositive motions, depositions, discovery, motion practice, mediation, and trial preparation. Trial experience is preferred.

Compensation

• Annual base salary: $160,000–$210,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Work Arrangement

• This is a full-time position based in San Francisco. After 90 days, the position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and no more than two days remote.
