We are currently seeking an experienced Estate Planning and Probate Lawyer to join our team. This is a full-time position for a professional with at least five (5) years of experience who is ready to make a significant impact in a fast-paced practice group.
Position Overview
- The Estate Planning and Probate Lawyer will provide expert legal advice and deliver high-quality work products to clients and supervising attorneys. This role involves direct client interaction, strategic tax planning, estate administration, legal research, and document drafting.
Key Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to counsel them on estate planning, probate, and guardianship matters.
- Develop strategies for estate tax and transfer tax planning.
- Handle all aspects of estate administration, including court appearances.
- Conduct thorough legal research and interpret laws, rulings, and regulations.
- Collaborate with colleagues in specialized areas to achieve optimal client outcomes.
- Draft comprehensive legal documents related to estate planning promptly.
Qualifications
- Active member of the Washington State Bar Association.
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in estate planning and probate; guardianship experience is a plus.
- Strong delegation skills and ability to work effectively within a team environment.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts.
- Proven track record of excellent client service.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing a high workload in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Commitment to business development and utilizing firm marketing tools to grow your practice.
- Daily time entry into the firm's billing software (TABS3).
Technology Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Familiarity with document and firm management software (e.g., Worldox, PracticeMaster, TABS) is preferred.
- General competence with technology is expected.
Compensation & Benefits
We offer a competitive compensation package:
- Salary: $140,000 - $190,000 annually (commensurate with experience), plus a generous bonus structure.
