A respected Raleigh-area law firm is seeking an Attorney with at least 2 years of family law experience to join its team. The ideal hire brings direct family law litigation experience and is ready to manage a varied caseload. Estate planning experience is a plus. The position offers a base salary plus commission, strong benefits, and clear avenues for growth.
Core Duties
- Advocate for clients in divorce, child custody, child support, alimony, and equitable distribution matters.
- Oversee cases from intake through trial, including discovery, motion practice, mediation, and regular court appearances.
- Deliver strategic counsel tailored to each client's goals.
- Maintain transparent, consistent client communication.
- Draft and refine pleadings, agreements, and other court filings.
- Partner with colleagues to develop case strategies and best practices.
- If applicable, assist with estate planning (wills, trusts, powers of attorney).
Qualifications
- Active North Carolina law license in good standing.
- Minimum 2 years of family law litigation experience (required).
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and client-advocacy skills.
- Excellent research, writing, and oral advocacy.
- Proven ability to manage a caseload independently and within a team.
- Estate planning experience preferred but not required.
