    Position Overview

    Malamut Law is seeking a skilled and motivated Labor & Employment Attorney to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience representing public and private sector management clients in labor and employment disputes and a strong commitment to workplace justice.

    Responsibilities

    Represent employers in labor and employment matters, including wage and hour claims, discrimination, retaliation, harassment, wrongful termination, and FMLA/ADA issues, and claims unique to public sector employment.

    Handle traditional labor law matters including collective bargaining negotiations, investigations, and grievances.

    Regular employer counseling for a wide variety of employment / labor law related issues.

    Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery

    Conduct depositions, mediations, arbitrations, and hearings

    Manage cases from intake through resolution

    Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and courts

    Contribute to case strategy and firm growth

    Qualifications

    J.D. from an accredited law school

    Licensed and in good standing in New Jersey mandatory. Pennsylvania or New York a plus.

    Demonstrated experience in labor and employment law.

    Strong legal writing, research, and advocacy skills

    Ability to manage a caseload independently while collaborating with a team

    Commitment to client-centered representation

    Preferred Experience (Not Required)

    Trial or arbitration experience

    Employment Counseling Experience.

    Experience with federal and state employment laws

    Compensation & Benefits

    Salary of $80,000 to $150,000 depending on experience and defined role.
