The prime candidate will work seamlessly with both senior partners and administrative staff in an effort to effectively serve clients. Responsibilities: • Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action • Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks • Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence • Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients and completing tasks • Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings In this role, the Attorney will be expected to manage a full litigation docket with professionalism, initiative, and strategic focus. Core responsibilities include: • Effectively manage an assigned caseload, ensuring timely progression and strategic oversight • Conduct initial and ongoing client consultations, maintaining consistent and clear communication throughout the case lifecycle • Draft high-quality legal documents, including demand letters, pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses • Take and defend depositions in accordance with case strategy • Attend and conduct hearings, mediations, and other court-related proceedings • Perform legal research and draft memoranda to support case preparation and resolution • Collaborate with the legal team to develop and execute case strategies that drive results • Coordinate with paralegals and support staff to ensure organized, efficient case management • Participate actively in docket reviews and firm-wide meetings • Contribute to firm-wide development and operational initiatives Qualifications: • Required Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school; representation of clients for at least 2 years a plus • Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role • Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required • Candidates must currently be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a law firm environment • Strong leadership skills • 5+ years of Plaintiff Personal Injury Litigation and trial experience preferred • Strong organizational and task prioritization • Strong analytical and legal writing skills • Proven ability to independently manage a heavy litigation docket • Actively seeks and implements feedback and works well with a team • Good standing with the State Bar of Texas • Personal commitment to a balanced and healthy lifestyle • Passion for helping injured clients and holding wrongdoers accountable Compensation: $170,000 DOE yearly
