    A boutique healthcare litigation firm with a national footprint is hiring 2–3 Litigation Associates to join its fully remote team. Led by a seasoned trial attorney with a $13M book of business and a track record of mentoring young lawyers, this role offers a chance to do meaningful work, grow under a dedicated mentor, and position yourself for long-term success.

    This is not your typical litigation associate job. You won’t be juggling business development or courtroom theatrics. Instead, you’ll dive deep into high-volume, high-stakes contract disputes between health plans and institutional providers. With over 200 active cases, the work is intellectually rigorous, data-driven, and perfect for those who love digging into the details.

    What You’ll Be Doing

    • Manage complex provider-payor contract disputes
    • Conduct deep claims analysis across both small and high-volume datasets
    • Draft discovery, motions, and arbitration prep (no trial work)
    • Oversee a large docket of 200+ active matters
    • Develop litigation strategy through legal research and collaborative case planning
    • Contribute to a team that values excellence, consistency, and long-term growth

     

    Who You Are

    • A licensed California attorney with 1–7 years of litigation experience
    • Detail-oriented, analytical, and calm under pressure
    • Energized by complex legal writing, fact development, and claims strategy
    • Interested in a fully remote lifestyle with minimal in-person commitments
    • Excited about long-term mentorship and succession planning
    • Prefers substance over showmanship—this role favors introverts over rainmakers

     

    Work Structure

    • 100% Remote (must be in Pacific or similar time zone)
    • Occasional in-person events: 2–3 annual team lunches + holiday party (travel paid)
    • Annual Billables: 1,800 minimum, bonuses start at 2,000
    • Hours: Flexible, self-managed, results-focused

     

    Compensation & Benefits

    • Base Salary: $125,000 to $180,000+, depending on experience
    • Bonus: $10K at 2,000 hours. An additional $10K for every 100 hours over 2,000
    • Health, Dental, and Vision: Employer-covered (eligible after 30 days)

    • Profit-sharing retirement plan (eligibility after 1 year)
