    We are looking for an experienced legal assistant who can help the busy attorneys and paralegals at our law office assist clients. You’ll be responsible for managing office correspondence, including answering phone calls and emails, arranging meetings, and ensuring our legal team is aware of upcoming deadlines. You’ll also assist with preparing legal documents and perform any other tasks as needed to ensure our firm is operating efficiently. Responsibilities: Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines Accept other administrative tasks as needed to assist the team and ensure the firm runs smoothly Arrange travel, schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, and coordinate with outside vendors for events Use daily time records to properly process client billing with support from the accounting department • Obtain and file deeds and prepare the initial draft of routine legal documents and letters; • Scan documents and utilize case management system Qualifications: Must be able to type at least 50 WPM Organizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this position Associate’s degree, or some college is preferred; high school diploma or equivalent is necessary Ability to comfortably use all Microsoft Office products Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines with quick turnaround times 1-2 years of prior experience in a law firm environment as a secretary or administrative assistant Compensation: $16 - $19 hourly
