Job Description
Prominent plaintiff medical malpractice firm with a statewide practice is seeking an attorney with 3 years of personal injury experience. Key Responsibilities
Handle all aspects of medical malpractice cases from intake through resolution.
Conduct legal research, case analysis, and develop legal strategies.
Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents.
Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and witnesses.
Prepare clients and expert witnesses for testimony.
Represent clients in court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
Work closely with paralegals, support staff, and other attorneys.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and case precedents.
Qualifications
J.D. degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in State of California
3 years of litigation experience, preferably in medical malpractice or personal injury.
Proven trial and/or settlement negotiation experience preferred.
Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare standards.
Experience working with expert witnesses.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
