Job Summary:
The Subrogation Attorney will be responsible for managing all aspects of subrogation claims from inception to resolution. This role involves conducting legal research, drafting legal documents, negotiating settlements, and representing clients in court as necessary. The ideal candidate will have a strong desire to be dedicated to insurance law, excellent communication skills, and a passion for achieving favorable resolutions for clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload of subrogation claims, including evaluating claims for liability, damages, and recovery potential.
- Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case development and strategy.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, demand letters, and settlement agreements.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing parties, ensuring optimal outcomes for clients.
- Represent clients in litigation, mediation, and arbitration proceedings related to subrogation claims.
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters, clients, and other stakeholders to gather relevant information and evidence.
- Stay updated on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law pertaining to subrogation and insurance.
- Provide legal advice and guidance to clients on subrogation matters.
- Maintain accurate case files, documentation, and billing records in accordance with company policies.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active bar admission in Georgia.
- Experience in subrogation, insurance law, or related field is preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of subrogation principles, processes, and relevant laws.
- Excellent negotiation, advocacy, and legal writing skills.
- Ability to handle multiple cases simultaneously and meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in legal research tools and case management software.
