    WeierLaw: The Law Offices of Steven D. Weier, Inc., P.S. is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our growing personal injury law firm. This role is ideal for an attorney who wants to develop litigation, negotiation, client communication, and case strategy skills while working in a team-oriented environment. WeierLaw represents injured individuals throughout Washington and is committed to providing thoughtful, diligent, and client-focused legal representation. Our attorneys work closely with experienced paralegals, negotiators, demand writers, and support staff to move cases efficiently while maintaining a high standard of care for every client. This position requires strong communication skills, sound judgment, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and improve. Responsibilities: RESPONSIBILITIES WILL VARY BASED ON EXPERIENCE & PLAN FOR HIRED ATTORNEY • Be assigned cases entering Litigation. • Handle assigned Settlement Guardian ad Litem (SGAL) matters from appointment through completion. • Prepare, review, and file SGAL reports and related court documents. • Attend and present at minor settlement hearings. • Work with clients, parents/guardians, court personnel, and opposing parties to finalize settlements involving minors. • Ensure minor settlement funds are properly addressed, including blocked accounts, court approval requirements, and related documentation. • Appear at hearings, motion calendars, status conferences, settlement approval hearings, and other court proceedings as assigned. • Handle motor vehicle infraction matters , including review of citations, client communication, negotiations, and court appearances as needed. • Assist with pre-litigation personal injury matters , including liability analysis, insurance coverage review, medical treatment status, demand review, settlement strategy, and client communication. • Communicate with insurance adjusters, defense counsel, medical providers, and clients to move pre-litigation cases forward. Qualifications: • Must be an active member in good standing with the Washington State Bar Association. • Ability to handle client communication professionally, clearly, and compassionately. • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills. • Comfortable appearing in court and handling hearings independently when appropriate. • Organized and able to manage deadlines, case tasks, and competing priorities. Compensation: $75,000 - $150,000 yearly
