  • Responsibilities

Make an impact with your litigation skills while enjoying balance and mentorship. A highly respected San Francisco law firm is expanding its Personal Injury Practice Group and seeking a talented Plaintiff-Side Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join its collaborative, no-ego team.

This is not a high-volume PI mill. Instead, you’ll handle meaningful cases—catastrophic injuries, wrongful death, and complex liability matters—while working closely with partners on strategy and client advocacy. The firm emphasizes sustainability with 40-hour workweeks, hybrid flexibility, and a culture of collaboration, making it an excellent environment for long-term growth.

    What You’ll Do

    • Independently manage a docket of litigated and pre-litigation PI cases
    • Handle depositions, discovery, mediations, and motion practice
    • Work with partners on strategy and trial preparation (trial experience not required)
    • Communicate regularly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel
    • Contribute to shaping the culture of a small, collegial PI team

    What’s Offered

    • Base salary: $140,000 – $180,000
    • Bonus potential: discretionary/performance-based
    • Hybrid flexibility: 2 days in office to start, later 1 day per week
    • Schedule: 40-hour work weeks encouraged

    Benefits Highlights

    • 100% employer-paid medical, dental, and vision premiums
    • Life insurance, LTD, parental leave, travel assistance
    • 401(k) with 3% employer contribution, plus profit sharing and cash balance plan
    • Vacation: starts at 2 weeks, grows with tenure, plus sick time
    • 10 paid holidays, 2 half-days, and a December “dark week”
    • Commuter benefits, bar dues covered (CA & SF)

    What You Bring

    • 5–10 years of civil litigation experience
    • Minimum 2 years of plaintiff-side PI (defense backgrounds welcome)
    • Strong writing, advocacy, and client communication skills
    • California Bar admission

    Why This Role

You’ll be mentored by accomplished attorneys in a collegial, respected, and socially conscious firm, while building a meaningful career with real client impact. The work is complex and rewarding, the culture is supportive, and the path forward is long-term.
