Benefits: • Health Reimbursement Account • Paid Time Off • 401(k) non-elective (after eligibility period) • Paid time off • Profit sharing (after eligibility period) • Commission • Hybrid Work Set up (after initial training period) • Malpractice insurance • Bar dues • Membership in the Trial Attorney Association Responsibilities: • Prepare various legal documents, such as motions, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence • Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome • Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs • Determine case strategies and solutions to serve clients’ needs after analysis • Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings • Complete new client consults and provide advice and guidance to clients • If a settlement or verdict is reached, complete all steps needed to ensure medical providers, the law firm, and the client are paid, liens are resolved, and litigation is finalized adequately • Oversee the docket and properly manage deadlines and timeframes to ensure excellent case resolution for clients • Provide a strategy to maximize value for clients Qualifications: • Successful completion of accredited law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree with 2 years of related experience • Prior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years required • Public speaking, decision-making, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are necessary for this role • Must be able to handle heavy caseload with little supervision • Must have a Texas Bar License • Must have at least 1 year of experience in civil litigation • Must be based in or near Austin, Texas Compensation: $125,000 - $135,000 yearly
