Responsibilities: The Associate Attorney manages an individual caseload from start to finish, including: • Legal research, drafting motions, pleadings, orders, and judgments • Overseeing and analyzing discovery • Appearing in Family Court for hearings and trials • Drafting client status updates and maintaining regular communication with clients, opposing counsel, and other case-related professionals • Collaborating with Paralegals and Legal Assistants to move cases to successful completion • Ensuring all deadlines are met and excellent legal services are delivered Qualifications: • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school • Admitted to practice law in South Carolina and in good standing with the Bar • Minimum 2 years of Family Court experience • Thorough knowledge of South Carolina Family Court Rules and Procedures • Excellent oral advocacy and courtroom confidence • Strong legal writing skills: motions, pleadings, orders, and client communications • Proficiency in online legal research platforms • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills • Persistence, honesty, integrity, and a proactive approach to litigation • Self-motivated with the ability to manage a demanding caseload • Effective delegation to paralegals and follow-up to ensure task completion Compensation: $75,000 - $125,000
