About the Role:
We are hiring a licensed Arizona attorney to serve as our Law Firm Operations Manager , overseeing the daily legal operations of a fast-growing litigation firm. This is an ideal opportunity for a practicing attorney who is ready to transition into a strategic leadership role— managing intake, supervising legal staff, and optimizing case flow rather than focusing on traditional billable work.
You’ll serve as the central operational leader, connecting intake teams, case managers, and attorneys to ensure high performance, consistent communication, and efficient case progression.
Key Responsibilities:
Attorney Oversight
Supervise and support attorneys across all active cases
Monitor litigation milestones, deadlines, and staff accountability
Audit quality of legal work, pleadings, and case files
Intake & Workflow Management
Oversee the full intake pipeline from lead to retainer
Ensure accurate case qualification, intake team performance, and onboarding process
Identify breakdowns and implement scalable solutions to improve conversion and cycle times
Operations & Process Optimization
Standardize case workflows, task management, and firm-wide systems
Drive adoption of case management software and reporting tools (e.g., Filevine, Clio)
Collaborate with leadership on operational KPIs, staffing, and strategic growth planning
Compliance & Client Service
Ensure compliance with Arizona Rules of Professional Conduct and case handling standards
Champion client communication standards and service benchmarks
Requirements:
J.D. and active license to practice law in Arizona
Minimum 3 years’ experience practicing law, preferably in employment, personal injury, or consumer law
Experience managing legal teams, operations, or firm workflows
Strong leadership, project management, and communication skills
Comfort working in a fast-paced, high-volume litigation setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience as a managing attorney, COO, or firm operations leader
Familiarity with Arizona ABS (Alternative Business Structure) environment
Experience with legal intake departments or high-volume lead generation
Working knowledge of Filevine, CASEpeer, or Clio
