Responsibilities: • Represent tenants in housing claims, ensuring their legal rights are upheld • Develop case strategies and oversee paralegals and case managers • Analyze lease agreements, building codes, and habitability laws to build strong legal arguments • Zealously advocate against Defendants who try to wriggle out of responsibility by claiming that their violations are no big deal • Regularly consult with clients, experts, opposing counsel, and courts to move cases forward • Prepare and file motions, pleadings, and legal briefs • Argue motions in court, conduct depositions, and represent clients in hearings and trials • Maintain excellent client relationships through clear, compassionate, and frequent communication • Coordinating growth of the firm through systems reviews and management of new staff • Stay informed about local developments, community events, and legal updates to identify potential client opportunities and ensure compliance with evolving laws and regulations Qualifications: • Licensed to practice law in Colorado and in good standing with the Colorado Bar Association • Litigation experience required (must have at least two jury/bench trials and 10 depositions, and 2 fully briefed motions for summary judgment) • Strong drive to learn and understand habitability laws, tenant rights, and housing regulations • Excellent legal research, writing, and negotiation skills • Ability to manage a large caseload with minimal supervision • Proficiency in Microsoft products, Adobe Acrobat and legal case management software • Strong public speaking, communication, and problem-solving abilities Compensation: $110,000 - 130,000 yearly
