Responsibilities: • Analyze client needs, identify solutions, and determine case strategies • Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs • Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence • Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome • Manage administrative assistants, paralegals, and law clerks • Manage a docket of personal injury cases from intake through resolution • Prepare demands, motions, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents • Conduct depositions, hearings, mediations, and trials • Develop a case strategy and advise clients accordingly • Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel and insurance carriers • Supervise support staff as necessary (e.g., paralegals, case managers) • Maintain accurate and timely case records using legal case management software Qualifications: • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in a law firm environment • Graduation from law school with Juris Doctorate (J.D.) degree and experience in representing clients for at least 2 years • Well-versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis) • Communication, problem-solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and public speaking skills required • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is needed • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school • Active license to practice law in Colorado and in good standing • Minimum of 3–5 years of litigation experience, preferably in personal injury • Demonstrated trial and courtroom experience • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills • Ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment with little supervision • Client-focused, ethical, and driven to achieve justice Compensation: $110,000 - $190,000 yearly
