Contract Attorney (Of Counsel) We are seeking a highly motivated Attorney to join our law firm as an Of Counsel or on a Contract basis. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal advice, representing clients in court, preparing legal documents, and conducting legal research. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a thorough understanding of the law. This fast-paced role offers a hybrid schedule. Responsibilities: • Draft pleadings, motions, contracts, marital settlement agreements, judgements, and orders for a high volume of cases • Keep client files properly organized and up to date • Divide marital assets, including real estate, when necessary during divorce proceedings • Help solve legal problems for clients through analyzing the situation, understanding their needs, and creating a strategic plan of action • Represent clients in court proceedings as needed Qualifications: • Should have 1-3 years of experience working with a passion for family and probate law. • Ability to independently manage and handle their own caseload. • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and currently passed the Texas Bar • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to negotiate especially in handling highly stressful and emotional situations. • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
