Responsibilities: • Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs • Get the appropriate legal documents ready for clients, such as brief, motions, and pleadings, as well as correspondence • Supervise administrative staff, paralegals, and law clerks • Advise clients by weighing available options toward a successful outcome and plan a course of action • Identify client conflicts and determine case strategies with options for resolution Qualifications: • Ability to use Microsoft Office is required • Work independently while handling a heavy caseload • Well-versed in legal research software (Westlaw/Lexis) • Jobseekers should be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred Association • Licensed to practice law in Missouri and Kansas. • Comfortable working with practice management software, such as Clio. • No prior history of disciplinary complaints or prior malpractice claims. • An ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in family law or other civil litigation experience and/or a 2-year judicial clerkship. Compensation: $90,000 - $125,000 yearly
