    Job Summary

    The Wu Law Firm, a committed immigration law practice dedicated to compassionate and zealous advocacy, is seeking an Immigration Attorney to join our team. In this role, you will represent in court, provide legal counsel, perform legal research, guide paralegals, draft documents, and update and maintain files. You will work closely with paralegals, other colleagues, and owner/manager to provide excellent legal services to our clients.

    Responsibilities

    Representing clients in immigration court proceedings and interviews with agencies like USCIS, EOIR & ICE

    Prepare contracts, briefs, motions, and other legal documents for EOIR and USCIS

    Conduct legal research for complex matters

    Prepare for and attend legal proceedings

    Provide legal counsel in conjunction with manager/ owner

    Maintain detailed and accurate client records

    Work with paralegals team overseeing legal research and case preparation

    Provide consultations to potential clients

    Managing communication between clients and legal team members

    Coordinating case timelines and ensuring deadlines are met across the legal team

    Qualifications

    Successful completion of a Juris Doctor (J.D. degree) from an accredited law school and bar exam

    Active member of the American Bar Association (ABA)

    1 - 2 years of experience attending legal proceedings

    Strong verbal and written communication skills

    Detailed oriented

    Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google suite

    Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills

    Ability to collaborate with colleagues to best serve clients.

    Spanish preferred but not required.

    Position is required for Philadelphia Office in PA or New Brunswick Office in NJ

    Some traveling might be required to the Newark EOIR or the USCIS Offices

    For anyone out of state relocation must be done before start date

    Compensation

    Salary Range: $70,000–$95,000 (depending on experience).
