A top-tier Utah law firm is seeking a seasoned Water Law Attorney to join its Real Estate, Land Use, and Water Law practice. This is an exceptional opportunity to work on high-profile water rights adjudications, permitting matters, and complex regulatory compliance issues while contributing to a collaborative, highly respected team.

    What You’ll Do

    • Handle water rights adjudications, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
    • Advise on water rights changes, non-use issues, exchanges, and groundwater/surface water disputes.
    • Navigate land-use and zoning processes, entitlements, and municipal approvals.
    • Draft and review real estate agreements, regulatory filings, and client documents.
    • Collaborate across practice groups on environmental, natural resources, and corporate matters.
    • Provide strategic guidance to clients and support firmwide initiatives.
    • Supervise junior attorneys and staff as needed.

     

    What You Bring

    • 10+ years of meaningful experience in water law.
    • Utah Bar membership or willingness to obtain.
    • Familiarity with land use, zoning, environmental, or natural resources matters preferred.
    • Exceptional academic credentials and writing ability.
    • Ability to independently manage complex matters and interact with state/local agencies.
    • Strong collaborative, ethical, and communicative mindset.
    • Utah ties valued (family, education, or lifestyle).
