    Step into a role where your legal skills will truly grow under mentorship while building your independence as a Workers’ Compensation Defense Attorney. This boutique litigation firm in Los Angeles, known for its warm, collaborative culture, represents Fortune 500 clients and is expanding its Workers’ Compensation practice with a strategic hire targeting attorneys with 1–3 years of relevant WC defense experience.

     

    You will handle applicant depositions, MSCs, lien conferences, and analyze AME/PQME reports using your working knowledge of AMA Guides and the California disability rating system. If you’re familiar with A1 software or open to learning it quickly, even better. The team will invest in your training, with senior attorneys who enjoy mentoring and guiding newer lawyers until they confidently manage cases independently.

    Core Responsibilities:

    • Handle depositions, MSCs, and lien conferences
    • Analyze and apply AME/PQME reports within the CA rating system
    • Draft motions and maintain case files
    • Appear at hearings and conferences as needed
    • Communicate regularly with clients while developing your independence under partner guidance

     

    What We’re Seeking:

    • 1–3 years’ Worker’s Compensation defense experience in California
    • Knowledge of AMA Guides, CA disability rating system, and AME/PQME analysis
    • Licensed and in good standing with the California State Bar
    • Detail-oriented, proactive mindset with strong communication skills
