Part Time: Approximately 25 - 30 hours per week; remote position
HR Manager Responsibilities:
Work with the Executive Leadership and Management Teams towards implementing organizational strategy and goals
Work with the Executive Leadership and Management Teams to build workplace culture
Develop and implement additional HR policies and procedures based on employee and company needs
Work with Executive Leadership and Management Teams to grow org-wide staff development. This includes the following:
Facilitate the annual review and staff feedback processes each year
Review employee feedback
Manage professional development initiatives
Manage staff recognition and appreciation programs
Process payroll and provide support to company employees regarding timesheets, pay practices, and benefits
Work with Executive Leadership and Management Teams to identify company personnel/hiring needs. This includes the following:
Ensure that timely recruiting, interviewing, and hiring procedures are followed to fill job vacancies
Ensure that onboarding and training procedures are followed and completed quickly
Ensure that employment files and records are maintained according to HR regulations
Work with department leadership to develop and implement additional onboarding and training procedures for all roles within the organization
Ensure that all HR practices and procedures and compliance regulations are met. This includes the following:
Ensure that employee benefits are managed according to company policy and state regulations
Ensure that all HR functions comply with local, state and federal regulations
Stay up-to-date on HR laws and regulations, compliance standards, and best practices
Ensure that termination policies are followed and documented
Ensure all HR procedures are documented and reviewed periodically for updates
Ensure employee handbook is up to date and pertinent
Ensure that employee issues are resolved in a satisfactory manner
Oversee company wide communications, including monthly staff newsletters
Attend weekend programs and meet in-person with key staff members as needed
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources or related field required
A minimum of two years experience in HR
Knowledge of HR administrative tasks and responsibilities
Excellent speaking, writing, and listening communication skills
Problem-solving skills and resourceful thinking
Strong interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills
Decision-making skills
Proficient computer skills
Preferred Qualifications:
MBA or a Master’s degree in Human Resources or related field
Experience working in a small business
International experience and interest in cultural exchange
Experience developing and growing HR procedures
Compensation: $25 - 30/hour, based on experience and education
