    Job Description

    Type of Roles Available: Full-time 80 hours Daytime.

    Shifts: 4-Ten Hour Days including Every Other Weekend

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Follows the mission, policies and procedures and safety rules of the facility.
    • Follows Federal and state of Minnesota rules and regulations governing nursing facilities.
    • Responsible for monitoring departmental compliance with local, state, and federal regulations in preparing attractive, nutritious and palatable meals for residents /customers following established menus, policies and practices, as well as best practices.
    • Monitors procurement, storage, preparation, and distribution and service of food under sanitary conditions.
    • Oversees, and assures, appropriate nutritional care for residents according to physician orders, state/federal regulations and resident care plans.
    • Requires daily engagement with employees and assisting them to be successful in their positions. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating work schedules for cooks and dietary assistants. The Assistant Culinary Manager provides recognition to employees who perform their job correctly and consistently, and provides coaching and redirection to those who need to improve performance.
    • The successful candidate is required to follow Auburn Home’s infection control policies and procedures, OSHA, and CDC Guidelines that apply to blood borne pathogens, serving food, assisting residents, and cleaning.
    • This position ensures residents’ common dining areas are pleasant and orderly.
    • Will be in charge of the Culinary Department in the absence of the Dietary Manager.
    • Participates/supports activities of facility committees.
  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    1. Must be active and in good standing on the Minnesota Nursing Assistant Registry.
    2. Must be able to safely perform the essential functions of the job.
    3. One (1) year food experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility or other related medical field preferred, but not necessary.
