    SALARY: $21.00- $23.00

    RETENTION BONUS: $2500.00

    JOB TYPE: FT; 80 hours/ 10 hour shifts, E/O weekend with 3-day weekend on, weekend off.

    LOCATION: Auburn Meadows, Waconia, MN

    We are currently looking for an ASSISTANT CULINARY MANAGER who has the desire to empower our resident’s lives through their culinary skills. Your position as the ASSISTANT CULINARY MANAGER is to oversee the quality of the nutritional services we provide and prepare delicious meals in accordance with applicable federal and state standards. As ASSISTANT CULINARY MANGER, you will support and assist the Culinary Director with the overall operation of the Culinary Department and assume the day-to-day responsibilities in the absence of the Culinary Director to ensure continuity for staff and residents.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • As the ASSISTANT CULINARY MANAGER, you will prepare and serve delicious meals for residents.
    • Assist with meal service to residents as needed.
    • Assist with menu planning to accommodate seasonal foods, holiday and special events as assigned.
    • Review menus prior to preparation of food.
    • Perform administrative requirements such as completing necessary forms, reports, etc., and submit to the Culinary Manager.
    • Coordinate food service with other departments as necessary.
    • Ensure that all food procedures follow in accordance with established policies.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • One (1) year food experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital, nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred (but not necessary).
    • The ASSISTANT CULINARY MANAGER must be able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities and be knowledgeable of food procedures.
    • Ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all staff and residents.
