    Job Description

    To assist and relieve the Director of Special Services of paperwork and impediments, so that he/she may devote maximum attention to the central problems of education and educational administration; also, to contribute to effective school/public relations by prompt and courteous handling of all inquiries and visitors.

    SALARY:  $15.00 to $20.00/hour (wage determined by years of relevant experience)

    TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:  8 hours/day, 12 months/year (benefits eligible)

    REPORTS TO:  Director of Special Services

    Qualifications

    • High school graduate. Additional training in secretarial skills, accounting, and computer operations preferred.

    • Demonstrate word processing skills, spreadsheet, and data base knowledge.

    • Demonstrate competence for assigned responsibility and maintain confidentiality of student records and files.

    • Demonstrate ability to maintain clerical records and prepare reports from such records.

    • Ability to follow oral and written directions.

    • Ability to get along well with others.

    • Exercise good judgment, tact, and courtesy.

    • Strengths in organizational skills and attention to detail.

    • Demonstrate the ability to maintain complex clerical records and prepare statistical reports.
