    Job Description

    TITLE:  High School Registrar

    REPORTS TO:  Building Principal

    JOB GOAL:  Collect, maintain and dispense accurate student enrollment history,      academic records, and student data information.  Input and maintain KIDS data and submit KIDS uploads.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    1.      Enroll new students and obtain a variety of student record information including grades, transcripts, immunization records, cumulative folders and general student data.

    2.      Input initial student demographic information into the student management system.

    3.      Transcribe, convert and enter credits from incoming transcripts into the student management system.

    4.      Process student withdrawal requests.

    5.      Maintain accurate permanent student records and test scores; provide this information to counselors as requested.

    6.      Generate and distribute student grade report cards.

    7.      Process grade changes received from teachers.

    8.      Communicate with other schools and outside agencies regarding student records.

    9.      Assist administration in coordination of student recognition as relates to grades.

    10.  Maintain accurate G.P.A. and class rank lists.

    11.  Process transcript requests for current and former students.

    12.  Process graduation and enrollment verifications.

    13.  Coordinate the distribution of student schedules at the beginning of each semester.

    14.  Maintain and update forms used in the Registrar’s office.

    15.  Maintain student demographic information in the student management system.

    16.  Enter and maintain KIDS data in the student information system for WRHS and New Directions students.

    17.    Upload KIDS and KAN-DIS information to the State.
    18.    Provide Parent Portal access information to parents.
    19.    Maintain records in the student management system on Safe Homes, Military Opt-
             Out, and approved student visitors. 
    20.    Create mailing labels and student information spreadsheets for various groups    
             including: military recruiters, newsletters, PTO mailings, student directory, and yearbook.

    21. Perform other duties as assigned.

    TERM OF EMPLOYMENT:  8 hours/day, 11 months/year (benefits-eligible)

    SALARY: $12.15/hour

    EVALUATION:  Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the Building Principal.

    Qualifications

    QUALIFICATIONS:             

    1.  High school graduate or equivalent.

    2.  Ability to obtain knowledge of curriculum and graduation requirements.

    3.       Accurate record keeping and data entry skills.

    4.       Strong communication skills.                                          

    5.       Knowledge of basic office procedures and the operation of office equipment, machines and computers.

    6.       Such alternatives to the above qualifications as are determined to be appropriate and acceptable.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    1.      Reaching:  Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

    2.      Lifting: Raising objects from a lower to a higher position or moving objects horizontally from position to position.  Requires the substantial use of the upper extremities and back muscles.

    3.      Fingering: Picking, pinching, typing/keyboarding or otherwise working primarily with fingers rather than with the whole hand or arm as in handing.

    4.      Grasping: Applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm.

    5.      Feeling: Perceiving attributes of objects such as size, shape, temperature or texture           by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.

    6.      Talking: Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word.

    7.      Hearing: Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.

    8.      Repetitive motions: Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

    9.      Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.  Work involves sitting most of the time.

    10.  Visual Acuity-Work deals largely with preparing and analyzing data and figures, accounting, transcription, computer terminal extensive reading, and operation of machines at distances close to the eyes.

    11.  The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
