    Beloit Auction & Realty is one of the Midwest’s fastest-growing auction companies and is currently expanding into a new 55,000-square-foot auction facility in Beloit. We conduct weekly online auctions selling everything from estate collections and vehicles to firearms, equipment, and commercial assets to a nationwide bidder base.

    We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Auction Specialist to assist with photographing auction items, preparing inventory for sale, and providing excellent customer service to buyers and consignors.

    This is a hands-on position where every week brings a different mix of interesting items and responsibilities.

    Position Overview

    The Auction Specialist helps prepare items for our weekly online auctions by photographing items, organizing inventory, and assisting customers during preview and pickup days. Photography is done using company iPad Minis, making the process simple and efficient.

    This position requires someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and takes pride in producing accurate work when preparing auction listings.

    Responsibilities

    Auction Production

    • Photograph auction items using company iPads • Assist with organizing and lotting inventory for online auctions • Move and stage items for photography and display • Assist with writing basic item descriptions • Maintain organized auction lots and work areas

    Customer Service

    • Assist buyers during preview and pickup days • Help load purchased items into customer vehicles • Answer basic questions about auction items and procedures • Provide friendly and professional service to buyers and consignors

    Auction Support

    • Assist with auction setup and preparation • Help maintain inventory organization and accuracy • Work with team members to ensure smooth auction operations

    Qualifications

    • Strong attention to detail • Friendly and professional attitude with customers • Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential • Ability to lift and move auction items (occasionally up to 50 lbs) • Basic comfort using tablets or smartphones • Ability to work with a wide variety of items and tasks

    Preferred Experience

    • Customer service, retail, warehouse, or inventory experience • Interest in tools, antiques, collectibles, vehicles, or equipment

    Work Environment

    This role works closely with other team members in a collaborative production environment where communication and teamwork are important. Team members regularly handle a wide range of unique items while preparing them for sale to buyers nationwide.

    Compensation

    $15 – $18 per hour, depending on experience. Final candidates may be required to successfully complete a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
