Security Alarm Technician

Job Overview

iEvolve Technology is seeking an experienced Security Alarm Technician to join our growing team. This position involves installing, servicing, and troubleshooting residential and light commercial security systems including alarm panels, sensors, cameras, and cellular communicators.

We are looking for a technician who is reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in residential environments while providing excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

Install and service security alarm systems

Install door/window contacts, motion detectors, glass breaks, keypads, and sirens

Program and troubleshoot alarm panels

Install and activate Alarm.com communicators

Run and terminate low-voltage wiring

Perform system testing and inspections

Educate customers on system operation

Document work completed using company software

Communicate with project managers regarding job progress

Maintain company tools, vehicle, and equipment

Ensure job sites remain clean and organized

Qualifications

Required:

Minimum 2 years experience installing or servicing alarm systems

Experience with DSC, Honeywell, Qolsys, or similar alarm platforms

Experience with Alarm.com

Knowledge of low-voltage wiring and device installation

Strong troubleshooting skills

Ability to read wiring diagrams or system layouts

Professional appearance and communication

Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Ability to pass background check

Must possess personal accountability and professionalism

Preferred:

Texas Security Alarm License

Experience with security cameras or access control

Basic networking knowledge

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift up to 60 lbs

Ability to work on ladders and in attics

Ability to work in tight spaces and construction environments

Pay & Benefits

$22 – $28 per hour (based on experience)
