The Installation Field Technician is a hands-on role responsible for installing AV and lighting systems in commercial, hospitality, and entertainment spaces. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with their hands, understands job sites, and has a passion for concerts, lighting, and live production , or wants to grow in that direction.
This role works closely with the Senior Project Manager, Installations and the broader Rock The House production team to ensure systems are installed cleanly, safely, and with show-ready quality.
What You'll Do:
Install low-voltage AV and lighting systems in concert venues, clubs, hospitality spaces, and commercial environments
Pull, dress, label, and terminate low-voltage cabling
Mount speakers, lighting fixtures, projectors, displays, racks, and infrastructure
Assist with rack builds, equipment installs, and final system cleanup
Support basic system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning
Maintain clean, organized, professional job sites
Follow safety procedures and construction site protocols
Technical Skills & Interests:
Experience with low-voltage cabling and basic construction environments
Familiarity with AV systems including audio, video, lighting, and projection
Interest in or exposure to creative lighting design and entertainment technology
Comfortable with ladders, lifts, hand tools, and basic power tools
Ability to read basic drawings and follow install plans
Q-SYS Level 1 preferred (or willingness to learn and obtain certification)

Compensation & Growth:
Hourly rate: $23–$26/hour (based on experience)
